Here is some of my work.

Here is some of my Luster tests

                                            Raku maggots

       crystalline glaze for the stomach

This piece explores the idea of butterflies in the stomach and the feeling of nervousness or excitement that accompanies it. I am trying to juxtapose the human anatomy and the butterflies. The installation plays with these feelings. I want to explore what happens when one gets that feeling of butterflies in the stomach due to nervousness or excitement. There is a contrast between the beauty of the butterflies and the not so pretty aspect of the large intestines and the maggots. The maggots are healing the nervousness sensation.

My ceramics are the consequences of my addiction.
Images and experiences come in. I introduce the viewer to the work then gracefully remove myself.

But the inside of the body is transgressive; private, frightening, even revolting to many of us.

Muscle is meat and, on a great many levels, so are we.

All organisms are dependent upon other species in one way or another; consumption in every sense of the word is integral to life in western (and, increasingly, non-western) culture.

I am not sure who this would apply to in the class, but find this very appealing and the colours work really together.
